Join the Transportation and Logistics Council for a presentation by Dr. Kenneth Armstrong, President and CEO of the Florida Trucking Association (FTA).

The trucking industry plays a vital role in the daily life of nearly every American, but it is facing tremendous challenges both nationally and in  Northeast Florida. Dr. Kenneth Armstrong, President and CEO of the Florida Trucking Association (FTA), will share his insights into these challenges, addressing near and long-term issues regarding technology and driverless trucks, driver shortages and new regulations. He’ll also give a special look into how and why the trucking industry is involved in the fight against human trafficking, where up to 300,000 American children are at risk to enter the sex-for-sale industry.

Dr. Armstrong helps the FTA elevate the image and issues of the state’s trucking industry in political, regulatory and business arenas. He is a veteran of the nonprofit sector, and FTA is the fourth institution where he has served as chief executive officer. In past roles, he has worked with such national figures as Bill Gates, Carol Burnett, Jeb Bush, Jimmy Buffett and Roger Staubach on major gift and community development. Most recently, he led the United Way of the Big Bend for 16 years and has served on almost 20 community boards and coalitions.

Join us on the 4th Thursday of every month for a Luncheon!

Every luncheon includes door prizes, a live auction, and a 50/50 Drawing. Tickets are $5 for 10 tickets, where half the money goes toward community involvement, and the other half - you could win!
